Najee Tyler was born on March 22, 1991 and hails from Fresh Meadows, New York. He graduated from Xaverian High School in 2009.

While in high school, Najee Tyler was a standout on the football field. He earned significant playing time as a junior, recording 10 touchdowns and 1,304 yards. Then he really burst onto the scene his senior season. He went 160 of 306 for 2,300 yards, 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He rushed 44 times for 106 yards and 6 scores. This earned him the title of Brooklyn Player of the Year and he was top among all quarterbacks in his class for passing yards and touchdowns. Najee Tayler earned a spot in two all-star games: East vs. New Jersey Game and the Boomer Esiason All-Star Game.

Football may be Najee Taylor's biggest passion, but he also played freshman basketball on a team that eventually captured the state championship.
