Kyle Adams was born on Jan. 19, 1988 and grew up in Austin, Texas. His parents were very influential in his decision to volunteer in Haiti for two summers, building houses for those in need, and today Kyle Adams cites that as one of his best life experiences.

Kyle Adams was a strong blocker ranked as the 50th best tight end by He was caught nine passes for 100 yards a touchdown during his senior year in addition to his tight end duties. He was named as an honorable mention All-Central Texas, second team all-region and first team all-district. Kyle Adams was also known for his smarts in the classroom. He was an Academic All-State pick and a National Merit Scholarship finalist.

In 2006, Kyle Adams played in 8 games with 1 start. He hauled in six receptions for 58 yards and one touchdown. In 2007, he was an Academic All-Big Ten. On the field, he played in all 13 games with one start. He had eight receptions for 109 yards and two touchdowns. In 2008, he was sidelined immediately by a season-ending injury. Kizer Award which is given to the top player with the highest grade-point average when considering the past consecutive semesters.
