Donn Landholm is now the Outside Linebackers coach for Purdue.

Donn Landholm was hired on by head coach Danny Hope as the Purdue Boilmakers’ defensive coordinator on January 26, 2009. It took Coach Hope a little over five weeks to find that perfect fit, and he found it in Donn Landholm.

Landholm has been coaching for over thirty years, and was at Eastern Kentucky for the past twelve. Donn Landholm has a lot of experience across the board of different positions, such as linebacker coach and defensive coordinator. Since Danny Hope had worked at Eastern Kentucky along side Landholm for five years, Hope knows they will work tremendously together. Hope said that Coach Landholm is an “excellent recruiter, and he will be a difference-maker on our staff. He knows what it takes to win a championship.”

Donn Landholm has also had the privilege to coach at the Blinn Junior College in Texas, where they won back-to-back junior college national championships in 1995 and 1996 with a 12-0 record each season. Before he joined on the Blinn team, Landholm was the assistant coach at PSJA North High School in Texas, Arizona State, Montana State and at Central Michigan.

Hope is excited to see what Donn Landholm can bring to Purdue in the near future. With his consistency, talent and adoration for the game.
