Cody Webster was born on June 1, 1991. He grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

On the Central Dauphin East High School football team he was a versatile player who tried positions of defensive back, quarterback and wide receiver. As a sophomore, Cody Webster ultimately settled on the position of punter. It was a wise decision. During that year, Cody Webster was honored as a first team all-state punter and Chris Sailor Kicking ranked the young player as the number one punter in the United States.

By junior year, Cody Webster was flying high. He broke the school record with 69 yard punt and was one of the top 50 juniors to watch list. However, a groin pull lowered his average and he was the 4th ranked punter in the country.

By senior year, Cody Webster broke his own punting record. He kicked a 72 yarder and made his way into the school's record books. Cody Webster was also a first team all-state punter and first team all-conference place kicker.
